Meet UBU’s new project leaders of SWRM

Since summer 2019, the Sustainable Water Resource Management (SWRM) project in India has a shared project leadership in UBU. Tine Engedal and Marie Mustelin have taken over the responsibility of managing the communication with our local partner JGVK, following-up on the project activities and facilitating the monthly meetings.

With an academic background in agricultural development, Tine has extensive experience from the global south, working primarily with land use changes, natural resource management and rural development. In the SWRM project, Tine can use this vast knowledge to work with solutions regarding the water consumption that is used for rice production.

Marie has an academic background in political science and human rights, and has a special interest in advocacy and capacity building. Having lived and worked in Venezuela and Indonesia, Marie is very familiar working in different cultures. She uses her analytical skills when assessing our local partners in how to raise awareness and create drivers for change.

Tine and Marie went to kick-start the project in november 2018 and are looking forward to continue this exciting task in collaboration with JGVK.
You are most welcome to contact us at and any time.
